Can you get blood tests for vaccinations done at the GPs? I need one for MMR even though I have a print out showing I've just had the vaccination. I don't mind paying but not £10s or £100s like some private places charge.

I hadnt had the full mumps vaccine as a child clearly as when I had my occ health done for my current job I was immune to rubella & measles but not mumps otherwise I'd be fine.
My current agency employer needs it before I can start work.0 -
then go and see your practice nurse and get the mmr done again. it should be free. if your going to be working in the health sector then you will need the hep b vaccine.0

I doubt you'll get immune testing on the NHS unless you're going to work for the NHS. But if you're working at Barts or The London then really they should do it for you just to check that the vaccination took. Why not ask to be checked.
Having a vaccination does not prove immunity. I had the hep b vaccine last year but a blood test later showed that I was still not immune to it.0 -
with heb b yes its a pain but the others should fine. its not normal to test for childhood infections they just want to know that you have had the jabs or the illness. it would be very strange for the nhs to want testing of those illnesses. tb and heb b are the ones that they get bothered about. quite rightly. i had to have the extra jab to get my hep b levels up the wife had to have them twice.0

occ health take a blood sample and test for all thats whay they knew I wasn't immune to mumps.
This agency even though one of the biggest if not the biggest care agencies doesn't have it's own occ health department.0
