sky tv telephone line?

the I read about viop 18899 ect the more I get mixed up was reading a post that you can sign up for voip and get rid off your telewest line as its seprate to broadband
I think the downside is I just got sky tv and you need a phoneline for that am I right Im using 18899 and saved lots already but the idea of saving more thrills me

I had sky fitted,plugged the box into the phoneline and then when the engineer left unplugged it and the box has remained unplugged for nearly 2 years. I once had a letter reminding me to plug it in but I ignored it and nothing happened.

Face it,Sky are not in the habit of punishing legitimate subscription paying customers. ;-)
