Nokia Software Failure

Hi

I've just tried to turn on my phone (Nokia 7650 on T-Mobile contract) and received the message:
"Phone start-up failed. Contact the retailer."

I have a nasty feeling that it's a catastrophic software failure! Has anyone got any good ideas?

Take it to your nearest Nokia repair centre, normally within a CarPhoneWarehouse

I had a quick look and advice is often as fatboyonadiet has already given.

Here's one (rather old) thread but would suggest a thorough search before trying anything. If a Carphone Warehouse is easy to get to may be simpler just to go there

try this *#7370# (you will lose your saved data though)
it will format the phone
if still no good it can usually be fixed with flashing equipment
pm me if you want more details
a service center would prob fix it but these arnt really worth the cost of there repair fees

Thanks for all of your help. Looks like it's a trip to the phone doctors for me tomorrow then!

I'll remember to back up my numbers next time! Oops.
