Firstly i hope i've posted this thread in the most relevant section. It's my first post on here so my apologies if it's incorrectly placed.
Ok well i've been looking to hire a canalboat for myself & some friends.I came across a website & during my search on it i found one that fitted the bill nicely to my surprise.
After looking down the list of boats each with various prices next to them, i came across one that had £0 next to it.
All their other boats were priced in the region of £500 plus, which is around the average mark. This is the first time i've come across such a thing as this. It's clearly a mistake.
Does anyone know whether the company are obliged to give me the holiday at that price at all?
Thank you!

So you want them to give you a holiday for free?
Wow.0 -
@ Caz 3121 thank you for your reply.
@ mattyprice4004 was there any need for that? i posed a genuine question.I'm new to this site & find your reply unnecessary.I was looking for an answer to my question not a smart arsed response like that!0 -
Perhaps you ought to contact them and ask them.
It may just be a mistake.0 -
If you haven't read the link posted above basically it's an 'invitation to treat' and not an 'offer' as such. Therefore they aren't bound by it and can alter it at any point since the contract isn't deemed to be formed until acceptance, since they are the only ones that can accept they aren't going to do that for free.0

.. And I find your lack of common sense unnecessary. It's pretty obvious to anyone with even an ounce of common sense they won't give you a free holiday.
However, as you've made it so clear you only like being told what you want to hear, yes you can force them to give you it for free. They also must provide free champagne to celebrate.
Can't believe someone would get in a tizz because someone pointed out they'd have to pay for a service which is blatantly just priced in error.0 -

hang on not everyone is clued up on all the consumer laws, give the guy a break, answering back to him in the manner you did, doesn't make you the bigger man.. quite the opposite.0 -

Seems to be a common misconception, que the classic 'you advertised that tv for £29.99 not £2999.99 I know my rights you have to sell it to me at £29.99' which is completely incorrect.
No harm in trying it on I guess!0 -

I'm with Matty on this one, op knows it's a mistake so would the op force the company give the holiday for £0 if the advertised price was legally binding?0
