Well finally went for the newer model, the GL2250, it was also cheaper by a couple of quid than the 'old' model. I'm having a play with it on my pc and it's impressive. Think I may also dig into the piggy bank and get one. The settings out of the box were good except for the brightness, wound that back from 100 to 50, possibly still a bit bright.

    Mini rant alert.

The courier ignored a note on the inside of the front door saying that if no one home, it could be left at the next door (retired) neighbours. This generally works well. Tracking said it should arrive today so arrived home at 5.30 and was slightly surprised to find no card and no monitor with neighbour. Purely by chance, about an hour later, I went into the garden and spotted the package on the step outside the patio doors, it had also been drizzling all afternoon. The outer package was damp but not soggy, but the inner (BenQ) box was perfectly good.

I'd spoken to Amazon before opening anything, in case there was any damage, they logged it as a potential problem, emailed me with a confirmation of the conversation and an apology.
    Move along, nothing to see.
