Tea length / calf length dress what are your thoughts? - anyone chosen one?

Oh dear oh dear
I am under 5ft and adore tea length dresses but I didn't go with them because I think they're completely the wrong length for my height - make me look even shorter! Whereas the long dresses seemed to elongate me...
Now I'm really panicking that I seem to have got it the wrong way round according to all the other short brides! Eek!0 -
Not at all hun, I thought I looked lovely in a long dress but just prefer the tea length ones. xx0

I really really really love tea length dresses too (and am still seriously considering getting this http://www.vivienofholloway.com/en/category/50s%20Halterneck%20Luxury%20Dress/1950s-halterneck-luxury-dress/705/ to change into for the evening!) but didn't get one because I thought they don't suit my height, and also this is going to be my only chance in my life to wear a massive full length gown so I thought I'd make the most of it!
All the dresses on this thread though are SO stunning...it makes me waver....0 -

I think that is a great idea to have a shorter one to change into, then you get the best of both worlds! x0 -
I really wouldn't worry about it Daisy. As long as you have a dress you love it doesn't matter if you're a short !!!! in a short or long dress. Or if you're a tallie in either. As long as you love the dress you've chosen.
I do think though the length of short dresses has to be spot on. For me I can't wear dresses that cut off my legs at the widest part of my calf else I look frumpy. They need to come just below my knees where my calfs are at their thinnest or at my ankles.
If anyone wants to see me in my shortened dress send me your email via PM and I'll happily email you it
