Have just seen this on HUKD (thanks go to Pasheast), and thought this was very much suited to the MSE crowd:

Bubble Wrap, Banana Peel, Baby Oil and Beyond

Can you restore your furniture with coffee? Erase crayon marks with shaving cream? Make your car shine with hair conditioner? The answer is yes you can. Discover remarkable new uses for everyday stuff around the house and you'll banish the need for pricey shop-bought products for good.

Now just £3.99 including delivery, reduced from £26.99

    Useful book review here: http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/non-fiction/bubble-wrap-banana-peel-baby-oil-and-beyond/1517152/

Someone said in another Readers Digest Grabbit that they are very slow to send things out (taking weeks or months to send items). This book is also available on Amazon used from £3.60 - I think I might use the Amazon route.

I've ordered from Reader'sDigest and they were fine - but I can't recall how long as I wasn't in a rush.

I ordered this and received a parcel from them within a few days.

Unfortunately the book I ordered, Bubble Wrap, Banana Peel etc. was apparently sold out so they sent me a totally different book instead.

They didn't charge me any extra even though the book they sent was listed at £19.99 on their site, but it is not the same kind of book, some of the advice to 'fix' things is pretty silly.
E.g. If your metal garage doors are noisy replace them with wooden ones...Not exactly money saving!

The odd thing is the original book I ordered was still listed on their web site and I could still put it into my basket.

I removed the affiliate part showed in bold so its now none affiliate. Be careful with Readers Digest you may get lots of junk mail and despite telling them to stop which was acknowledged I still get junk mail from them

    offer is now ended
