Does anyone know the title of her book that has lots of cheap to make recipies? I find a lot of veggie books have loads of expensive ingredients, so I'd like to try this one.

All her books are full of good, cheap recipes.
Not Just a load of old Lentils is fairly basic, but my favourite, which is very old and stained is, The Bean Book. I use it just about every week.
If you can get hold of it The Complete Vegetarian Cookbook is a hardback complilation of the best of the recipes and re-workings of some of the older ones which is extremely useful.

She does one called Simply delicious, which is just quick to make dishes, and NJAOOL is very good too.Jane

I have Rose Elliot Learning to Cook Vegetarian, I'm trying to reduce our meat consumption, the roasted pepper and sweet potato soup looks interesting and, although this won't help cut down our meat intake, so does the carrot cake. It's full of cheap recipes.MFW 1/5/08 £45,789 Cleared mortgage 1/02/13

It's called errm "Cheap and Easy":D and it's from the Essential Vegetarian Collection. ISBN 0-7225-3948-7. I have this book and although it has some good recipes in it I wish I hadn't lost my copy of Not Just a Load of Old Lentils. I've been thinking of trying The Bean Book too, but I've heard mixed opinions on it.I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

I've a few of her books and most recipes are inexpensive. The Complete Vegetarian cookbook is fantastic although out of print now, but worth checking to see if you can get a copy (tho most peoples, like mine, will be stained and falling apart from overuse). I have dozens of cookbooks but this is the only one that always lives in the kitchen
She's very good too about telling you when you can freeze things (bloody Jamie and Nigella seem to think you always have time to make from fresh!) 0 -
Watching 'pay off your mortgage in two years' gave me the idea of getting a student cookbook. I found one that I have used a lot - Betond Baked Beans Green by Fiona Beckett. I've made loads of recipes from it - my BF raved about some. She also wrote a non-veggie one for students and this is called Beyond Baked Beans. The recipes are quite simple and she always tells you how long it will take. Happy cooking!0
