I was under the impression this is automatic around 3 months after discharge.0

No, it is removed from the IS register 3 months after your discharge but stays in the London Gazette forever. Sorry OP don`t know the answer to your question:(:pB&SC No. 298

Hi 1worried1, The only way I believe to stop it completely is to ask the judge for a stay of advertisment, which they would grant for instance if you were at risk from an abusive ex partner etc they would not grant it for reputational reasons however.

thank you for your replies, what proof do you think I would you need to have about an abusive ex partner, it wasn't pysical abuse more mental/death threats, I never reported it to the police etc. would your word just be enough?0

I'm not 100% sure. I'm am sorry, not a nice situation to be in. Until another poster can advise further I would ring the court you went BR from and ask there for help.

You seem content for your name to remain, which is good because it suggests you are not trying to pull a fast one.
To improve your chances, say you don't mind the name of the town/city/county staying in.
Assuming, of course, that will not give anything away to your ex-partner.0 -
your right, happy for my name, job descriptions etc to stay and my old address (which was repossesed just before BR) just want my current address removed from online gazzette so he can't turn up at my door etc0

Part of the reason the address goes in is so there can be no confusion about who is bankrupt.
You may think this is vindictive towards you, it isn't, it's so that anyone with a similar/same name cannot claim people will think the entry applies to them, harming their reputation.
This will be in the back of the minds of the person who decides your query.
So you need to try to agree on enough information going in to satisfy the 'no confusion' argument.
It will help if your name is unusual, or you could offer your middle name.
They might accept 'formerly of' your old address.0 -
As far as I'm aware, the withholding of address needs to be granted by the Judge when making the origional BR order. I'm not sure if such an order can be granted this long after, but please ring the court at see what they say0
