We went to Tunisia (Hammamet) in June time a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed on the resort beach and didn't do a whole lot, but there weren't many looky looky men, had lovely weather the whole time and a beautiful beach. It was also cheap as chips - and I imagine the recent struggles won't have hurt the price...
  • Thanks for the rec, guys. Tropea and Porto Santo look great. Just not hot for March, will consider it for June though, especially as it's not a long haul flight.

Next week, we're visiting Lanzarote (staying at the Sands Beach Resort in Costa Teguise). I researched the the Nth degree on beach hassle, hence we went for a resort with a private beach lagoon... just in case. We might take a day trip to Fuerteventura by ferry. :)

We also stayed in Costa Teguise, its a lovely resort. We looked at the sands resort, it was slightly out of the way for what we wanted, but sounds perfect for you. In the evenings we went to 'the square', that everyone talks about, for a few drinks. This is where we got alot of hassle when we were sat outside, it didnt really bother us that much, they were friendly but it was abit annoying after a while. We had a few cooler evenings and sat inside, they didnt bother us then. Hope you have a nice holiday

Where did you go in the carribean?
    £100 - £10,000
  • We went to Antigua for 2 weeks and did a few trips in and around the island (Dickenson Bay). The beach was littered with fairly insistent looky looky men/women and we were plagued by men offering us their 'sugar cane'. At first we went along with the obligatory banter, but after a few days having the same conversations with the same looky lookies/ gigolos it wore thin. We couldn't relax on the beach, which was a shame as it was picture perfect.

Maldives was perfect... same as the Caribbean without the hassle. But out of our budget at the moment. :(
