Vodaphone signal issues

I've got 2 phones on contract with vodaphone, and have had for years. for some strange reason the signal here has degraded to the point where both mine and the wifes phone have no signal at all at work, and have been sent a home booster. We only work within a 2 mile radius we are probably on the same mast.
The wife only recently went back to work which has really highlighted the issue as it is a problem her being out of contact with child care and a 10 month old, its not been a big problem to contact me as i have a work phone, which i can use for personal use, if i pay the bill. which i dont want too, hence having my own phone, its a personal thing, i dont want someone highlighting personal calls, and comparing them to when im at work.
Customer service is passing me from pillar to post, and im paying the thick end of 50quid for very little service where it used to be great. Whenever they check the areas and postcodes they tell me the signal is great in my area, and i should have near perfect signal. obviously i dont..
This has been going on now for 3 months, and its really starting to wear thin.... any suggestions welcome

Try switiching your phone into GSM only mode and see if it makes a difference.0

its not the phone unfortunatly, its the service provider, i have tried all kinds of things, and the signal used to be fine. Im wondering wether im going to be trapped in a couple on contracts that are useless to me, if they cannot fix this is a reasonable time frame i cannot see another option but to change provider, and thats a pain i could be doing without.0

have you checked out theyre eforum to see if there is problems with that mast?
i know cs says there isnt but theyre in egyptWhat goes around-comes around0 -
I've been on the phone with CS again today, and they think i'd be better off with another service provider as its been going on for so long.. but won't waive any early cancellation charges yet, not until they have finished their investigation.. im wondering how long this is going to take.0

Hi bungle4by4,
I am sorry to hear you are experiencing some problems with your signal.
As gabbyevs has mentioned, if you take a look at our eForum Faults board here, we log all known faults on the network and update them as soon as they are resolved.
If your area is not logged, you can also post to the team here to let them know.
Many thanks,
Heidi

heidi, i've been in store yesterday, and was told to cancel my direct debit, and write into an address they gave me and tell them why, as its been going on for so long.
I've been having terrible problems with CS, they tell me i have perfect signal... but then again, they have a computer, im actually there. CS keep telling me they will call in 48hrs with an update, but they never do. I can only see changing service provider as an option now. And have been advised this both on the phone, and in store.0 -
THis is bad advice. If you cancel and they attempt to take funds, you get hit with a failled payment charge and a mark on your credit file. The weay to resolve tihs is to keep things as they are, WRITE explaining the issues, and say that you require firm proposals from them within 28 days. You require a rebate for inferior service, and if there are no plands to restore the service to its previous level, you require a no-pentalty waiver of any minimum term commitment.0

Hi bungle4by4,
Buzby is right, if you were to cancel the direct debit and payments were missed, it would effect your credit file.
If you drop me an email to the address here with WRT135 FAO Heidi in the subject, I will be happy to help you further.
You will also need to include a link to your post and your mobile number.
Many thanks,
