I have been charged £8 for each direct debit that the bank paid whilst I was over my overdraft limit, is this reasonable?

Its below the amount suggested by the FSA (it was them I think) as being reasonable so I guess the answer to your question is yes if you are thinking in terms of whether you could seek to reclaim it.0
