Electricity meter cupboard

We have just removed a 'home made' shelf unit and cupboard from the side of the chimney breast which housed the electricity meter and fuses, etc. at the bottom of it. I am stuck as to what to put their as I don't want something naff. An ideas, it needs to be accessible

I used a radiator cabinet for mine which was ok. I could just lift it forward to read the meter.
My sister bought an bookcase with a cupboard at the bottom & shelves above to cover hers. She just cut the back out & slotted it over. But that sounds the same as you've just taken out... ooops...
