My friends (female, all aged early 20s) want to go abroad to a beach destination in June for £400 including flights, luggage, transfers, hotel/apartment/villa AND spending money
Personally, I think they're living in a dream world.
Unless they are banking on the vast majority of their drinks being bought for them, I agree with you.0 -
Please let us all know where and when they book for so that we can amend our own bookings.0

as above or look for a static etc that sleeps your amount of girls. Could be a better option for you .floopnoodle wrote: »How many of you are there?
It might make sense to look at hiring a villa or apartment rather then several hotel rooms. That way you also get full cooking facilities which will keep the cost down too. My and the GF stayed in an apartment from the Owner's Direct website and it cost us £400 for the apartment. It could sleep up to 6 though and still cost the same, so just over £66 each for a week working on 6 sharing. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0 -
I've just booked our girlie holiday this year and even with doing it on the cheap it's coming in at £320 but that's AI, flights, transfers and sharing a 15kg case between 2 of us.
We've still our spending money on top, which will probably be in the region of £250 - £300 each.
We could have booked a cheaper hotel or gone to a different resort and saved some money but I'd rather have a relaxing holiday and have the option of going out clubbing than the other way about.Feb 2024:

Total £30,567.920 -
Firstly consider doing a shorter break, less nights less expense all round.
Look where flights are cheap to first, eg Malaga, Alicante, Faro, are usually aprox £60pp if you are flexible with dates (we have booked Alicante with Easyjet 10th June for £60 each return).
Bulgaria is cheap once your there, but flights costs are £150ish min so your not going to get a 'bargain' there.
If you want to go out everynight go s/c, cook in your apartment as much as poss to keep costs down. Stay as close as possible to resort centre to save taxi costs.
My benidorm 4 night break will cost me £346 HB inc flights/transfers/hotel/insurance thats for 2 people (I have 150euro spends)£100 - £10,0000 -
Thanks for all your replies. I've managed to get them to increase their budget to around £300 for the hotel, flights, luggage and transfers and then taking £400 spending money. We've decided on Sunny Beach in Bulgaria. However, we can now only go last week of June or first couple of weeks in July as one of the girls cannot go before, which makes it more expensive

I'd prefer to book a package I think as I had a quick look at booking separately and there wasn't much difference from what I could see. Unless I'm looking in the wrong places?
There will be between 3 and 6 of us. Three of us are definately going, the other 3 are maybes

We (partner, 6 year old son and self) have put together a DIY holiday for feb half term. Its 4 star, Tenerife, AI and includes flights, hotel and car hire for the week airport to airport. Per person we are paying £367 (if we say my son is the same price as an adult) :beer:0

I'd look at flights. You can always get cheap accommodation anywhere, even at the hotels in the brochure. I know, I used to live in an 18-30 hotel (but had nothing to do with 18-30). If those numbers work out, then go for it, if not, book a package.
Don't forget transport though. Taxis to and from resort can be expensive, especially when you do not know the score. Even worse is a hotel which is too far to walk from either the beach or nightlife as you'l be doing multiple taxis every day and that will really tick you off and cost a load more money.
On the other hand you could just book nothing and wait for a last minute deal.0 -
You can get flights to majorca for £130 return and half board in palma nova for £113 each. £450 to spend on going out0

You seem to have been in Bulgaria and liked it. We went early June about 4 years ago, didn't like it much to be honest. We didn't get very good weather either, but if you're going a bit later should probably be ok. Best thing about it was the cocktails and the chips were quite nice too lol :0)0
