good site there daleski-do you know how far or close they say you have to be to get a good signal?

I think that's very difficult to know really as it depends on a lot of factors really and down to how good your antenna is inside your phone as well for picking up a phone signal.

If you have an Android phone download the app called Open Signal Maps as this will tell you not only which mast you are connecting too but the signal strength also and I believe the distance from where you are to the mast as well.

Very good for techies like myself ;)
  • Thanks for that Grumbler-email sent!! feeling considerably happier now that I have done something about it. I just felt passed from pillar to post and like i was hearing every excuse under the sun speaking to their advisors this morning It infuriated me that they can say theres no problem signal wise when they admitted they no longer mast share signal in this area, and my phone cut off constantly!!! Fingers crossed I hear something back asap :) x

  • well ive had a reply already...............saying that it sounds as though my complaint needs further investigation and to call their customer services line on 333!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG do they actually read emails-i told them in the email that I had spoken with 2 departments yesterday and was told there was no problem despite being cut off 4 times and them having to call me back repeatedly!!!
  • I have also filled in the customer complaints procedure form on their website that they so helpfully sent me the link to in their email.

reply again and say you have had no luck with cs and you cant phone them anyway because of your obvious signal problem

  • tried that and got the same email back lol. Guess i'll keep emailing them and will print out the email of complaint and post it too-recorded delivery so they cant say they didnt get it.
  • Keep a detailed record of every letter sent, every email typed and the dates and times it was done so you are building a case against them so like you said they cannot say they did not get it or you didn't phone etc.
  • thanks daleski, the emails i have sent are in my sent folder of my email box, im going to set up a dedicated folder in there to move them to in order to keep them safe. :)
