I get so angry when I see so many people cheating the system and claiming everything from benefit to mobility
SO...
when my daughter gets her JSA cancelled for getting the week wrong it just makes me twice as mad. We as a family have never claimed any benefits, my wife and I both work and struggle to make ends meet but still dont claim anything.
My daughter is nearly 19 and finished school in July 2011
She went to sign on the wednesday and had got the week wrong. The lady in the benefit office said it was not a problem, come in the following day and sign on which she did.
Today we got a letter from DWP saying they will not pay her JSA as she failed in attend an interview and she did not give sufficient reasons.
What can she do now, does that mean she cant claim anything ? Its not obvious what she can or cannot claim. she has applied to lots of jobs and is working as a volunteer in a number of drama groups.
Can you someone give me some advice

It'll be a one week sanction.
There's really no excuse for 'getting the week wrong'0
