Hi I have just received my virgincard, they gave me 5k i owe 2k on my halifax card, does anyone know if i can transfer the whole 5 k into my account!!!!

Are you asking whether the balance on your Virgin card can be transferred into your current account? I think you need a SBT (Super Balance Transfer card) for this. If the terms say you can do it then you could try.

Yes you can do sbt with your virgin card. Do it by phone or online if you have that facility. Its easy to do BUT there is a 3% fee.

Shame about the 3% fee, how long is the interest free period for? Could this be used to stooz the money into a high rate account?

Just to let you know they will only allow you to transfer up to 95% of your available credit.

Actually virgin charge a different fee for different cards and card holders. I have just SBT'd £11k and they charged me 2% but it was capped at £50.
Even the telephonist quoted me a £75 at one point until i corrected her which proves they must have varying rates.
