Hi if you are paying it off in 10 months then a 0% credit card would be better

If you get a Nationwide Visa you will save more because you will not be paying the 2-3% commission charges that most other cards will charge per transaction. The card is 0% for nine months, by which time you will hopefully have nearly cleared the card. Also consider a nationwide flex account for fee free cash withdrawals.

Seconded, we used the Nationwide card in the US last summer, cracking exchange rate, no commission and interest free for nine months, like taking candy from a baby :j

Have you also planned to leave enough money to pay the import duty on the £1000 worth of goods you plan to bring back to the UK?
  • Nationwide Visa for sure my friend
  • You could always take an amex card, the US is the only place worth using it!

  • I wouldn't take anything but my 2 Nationwide cards, credit for purchases and debit for cash.
