I'm sure they will let him cancel as soon as he pays back what they paid out on the claim.
Would you want a meal half price if you ate it in half the time of someone else?
You bought a product and had full use of it (ie claimed) now you don't want to pay the agreed price.I have a cunning plan!

Hiya as the above posters have said, as he has claimed he is liable for the full premium. The insurance co agree to pay out claims based on the premium being paid for the year. The fact he is paying monthly is irrelevant. If he had paid the premium as 1 payment at the beginning of the year, then made a claim a month later he would not have got the rest of the premium he has paid back.
He is liable. As someone else has already pointed out, insurance premiums paid monthly are subject to a credit agreement and so any missed payments may affect his credit rating.
If he doesnt pay then his insurance company are allowed to recover the monies via the usual methods , eg, a collections agency.
He needs to take this one on the chin and pay up.Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0
