£1000 voucher competition on Facebook

Terms and Conditions

Opodo Limited ("Opodo"), whose registered office is at Waterfront, Hammersmith Embankment, Chancellors Road, London, W6 9RU, is organising this competition. Please send any postal correspondence to Opodo Limited, PO Box 6589, Leicester LE1 3ZZ to ensure a prompt response.
The competition is subject to the following terms and conditions:

1. Competition process
   1. The competition will take place from 10 January to 26 January 2012.
   2. There is one main prize of a £1000 Opodo flight e-voucher and one runner-up prize of a £200 flight e-voucher.
   3. During the competition period, Opodo's competition application ("app") will be available on Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/opodo.co.uk?sk=app_273580032701164. The app must be used to enter the competition.
   4. To enter, participants ("Main Participants") must follow the instructions provided in the app to 'Like' the Opodo Facebook page and to agree to share information about their competition entry with their Facebook 'friends'. Successful completion of this process gives the Main Participant one entry into the competition for the £1000 main prize.
   5. When Main Participants share information about their competition entry with their Facebook friends, a message will be posted on their friends' newsfeeds inviting them to help the Main Participant to win the main prize. To do so, friends ("Helper Participants") must click on the link to the app in the post and follow the instructions provided: namely, also to like the Opodo page and to share their activity with their friends. Each successful completion of this process gives the Main Participant an additional entry for the main prize, and also gives the Helper Participant one entry for the runner-up prize.
   6. If a Helper Participant's friends ("Secondary Helpers") also perform the process in 1(e) above using the newsfeed post received from the Helper Participant, the Main Participant shall receive one further entry for the main prize and the Secondary Helper will receive one entry for the runner-up prize. In this case, the Helper Participant who introduced the Main Participant to the Secondary Helper will not receive another entry into the competition.
   7. Main Participants are only permitted one initial entry for the main prize. Helper Participants and Secondary Helpers are only permitted to help a particular Main Participant once but can help multiple Main Participants. Main Participants are permitted to help others as Helper Participants or Secondary Helpers. Helper Participants and Secondary Helpers can also enter the competition separately as Main Participants. Entrants for the runner-up prize who are not helping a legitimate Main Participant will not be included in the runner-up draw.
   8. Participants must provide a valid email address when entering the competition to enable Opodo to contact winners. Opodo will strictly not add any email addresses to their database for marketing purposes, unless express permission has been provided by participants.
   9. Winners will be drawn at random from all eligible entries received by the end of the competition period.
   10. Winners will be contacted by email by 7 Feb 2012. The winner will be required to confirm acceptance of the prize by replying to the email within 3 days of receipt. If the winner does not confirm acceptance of his/her prize within 3 days he/she will automatically forego the rights to claim for the prize.
   11. The prize winners will be invited to take part in publicity after the prize draw to the extent customary for similar prize draws. You agree by entering this prize draw that Opodo may publish your name on the Opodo website and/or Opodo's Facebook page if you are a winner.
2. The prizes
   1. The prizes are e-vouchers which can be used to reduce the cost of flights booked on Opodo. The e-vouchers can be used against the booking of eligible flights on the Site or by phone, subject to the terms below.
   2. There are 2 prizes in total: 1 x £1000 e-voucher and 1 x £200 e-voucher.
   3. The £1000 prize winner will have the option of breaking up the total value of their prize e-vouchers into up to 4 smaller e-vouchers of £250 each.
   4. Only one prize per person is permitted
   5. All prize e-vouchers must be redeemed within 6 months of receipt.
   6. Winners do not need to be one of the passengers booked to fly on the relevant flight.
3. Use of e-voucher terms and conditions
   1. Only one e-voucher may be used per booking. The e-voucher deduction is applied to the total cost of the flight booking, not each individual ticket included in the booking.
   2. Each e-voucher is only redeemable against flight bookings only
   3. Each e-voucher must be redeemed via the website at Site or by phoning Opodo on 0871 241 7051.
   4. Flight e-vouchers are not valid on multi-stop flights, charter flights, Flight + Hotel bookings where the two are combined into a package with one price, flights that form part of a package holiday and flights with low-cost airlines (easyjet, Monarch, Flybe, Jet2, Thomsonfly, Ryanair, Aer Lingus, Norwegian and Manx2).
   5. E-vouchers have a cash value of GBP 0.001
   6. Opodo's standard terms and conditions apply to any booking made using an e-voucher.
   7. Normal Opodo terms and conditions together with any terms and conditions that may also be applied by any carrier or any other third party supplier in respect of the booking apply to any booking made using an e-voucher.
   8. Should you make any change to a confirmed booking which was originally made using an e-voucher, that e-voucher will become invalid and you may be charged an amount equal to the value of the e-voucher used.
   9. Should a tax refund be due to you, the amount due will be reduced by the value of the e-voucher used to make the booking.
4. General Terms and Limitation of Liability
   1. No purchase is necessary to take part in this competition. The competition is open to UK residents only who are aged 18 or over.
   2. The competition is not open to employees or contractors of or any person connected with Opodo or any person directly or indirectly involved in the organisation and running of the competition or their direct family members.
   3. Prizes are non-transferable. Therevis no cash alternative to the prize.
   4. The decision of Opodo is final in relation to the operation of this competition and the selection of the winners and no correspondence will be entered into.
   5. Opodo reserves the right to refuse entry of, or to refuse to award the prize to, anyone in breach of these competition terms and conditions.
   6. Opodo reminds you of the nature and limitations of the Internet and does not accept any responsibility for any occurrences resulting from your conection to the Internet via the Site. In particular, Opodo does not accept responsibility for any damage (whether material or non-material) caused to you, to your computer equipment or to data which are stored on them, or to your personal, professional, or commercial activities.
   7. Further, Opodo shall not be responsible if you are unable to connect to the Opodo website or telephone service desk or to participate in this competition, or redeem your e-voucher, due to any technical problem or any problem linked to, including in relation to congestion of, the Internet or telephone lines.
   8. In the event of circumstances arising outside of Opodo's control, which in Opodo's opinion make it necessary to suspend, change or cancel the competition, Opodo reserves the right to suspend, change or cancel the competition at any time.
   9. If for any reason Opodo is unable to provide the prize, Opodo will use reasonable endeavours to reasonably replace it with another prize of equal or greater value.
   10. Opodo shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid claims including, without limitation, to require further verification as to the identity, age or other relevant details of a prize winner.
   11. By entering this competition you acknowledge and agree that Opodo and its authorised agents and representatives may use the details you provide: (a) to administer the competition; and (b) to contact you (including by email and/or telephone) in connection with the competition. You also confirm that you have read, understood and agree to the Opodo Privacy Policy available at http://www.opodo.co.uk/opodo/StrutsServlet/DisplaySiteInfoPage?pageName=privacyand that the name and geographic location of winners may be used in Opodo publicity and promotional materials.
   12. This competition is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
