International Bank Transfer

Hi all,

I need to make a few sub €400 transfers to Bulgaria and Romania and trying to find the cheapest and easiest way to do it.

I've looked at Skrill, requires the recipient to retrieve the money with a minor charge and XE.com who charge £11.

Am I expecting too much? Is there really free transfers available for low value transactions?

Any help and guidance welcome.

Regards,

Chris

I'm guessing I've either posted in the wrong forum, or there isn't another alternative?

Anyone? It's just I need to make the payments within the next week and these things take time to do and would appreciate any help or suggestions :j

    Thanks again.

Nothing in this life is really free, is it?

I paid £7.50 via my Halifax account recently. No idea if the exchange rate was any good though!

For small transfers I tend to use http://www.globalwebpay.com/ mainly because it's quick and easy to use, and cheaper than doing it via a bank. As has been said above, nothing is free.

For larger transfers you'd probably want to use an FX broker like http://www.thefxfirm.co.uk/
