DLA Renewal - Its's silly season again - advice needed

I first applied for DLA in 2005, got turned down and gave in. Then thanks to these forums and bank charges claims etc I thought NO, I have serious health issues and applied again. Once more I was refused and over 12 months later won an appeal for a 2 year award.

I suspected all along that once that came up for renewal that it was going to be another fight. So despite receiving the forms 6 months before the award ran out, I sat on them until there was only 2 months left before putting them in. My fear of submitting them early was that they would reassess and stop my money early when they refused me. However with only 2 months to go the DLA ran out in the June and the assessment came through in the July so I didn't lose out.

Once again I got refused and had to go to tribunal which I won some 8 months on. Now I am back in that familiar territory of waiting for the application to drop on the doormat.

This award as set by the appeals board runs to June 2012. I already know they will not grant me DLA and I will have to go to appeal a third time. What I am trying to find a definitive answer to is;

If I receive, complete and return the forms by say March and they decide not to renew my DLA, will that mean they will stop it from the date of the new decision, or will it remain in place until June which is when the last appeals board allowed to??

I don't want to have run application forms to the wire if there is no chance of me losing out but if by completing and returning early it could result my money stopping earlier what it is currently awarded to then I will. They have disallowed me twice 3 times now on application and also the reconsideration stage. So I know fine well they will force me down the appeal route once again this summer.

It is so wrong that people have to go through this all the time but it is what it is I guess.

    The award is from the decision date not when the current award finishes, so if you submit early and are turned down you will lose payments.

    I think Cpt.Scarlet is likely to right, though I have no experience with DLA renewal.
    My ESA renewal began on the day my previous claim was due to end even though I sent the form within a week of receiving it but I presume that's because they decided to grant ESA again with no changes.

    Do you know why your DLA seems to be turned down then granted after tribunal?
    Is it something to do with the way you fill out the forms or your doctors/specialists not being very good at filling out the report if they're asked to?
    If you knew the answers to these questions you may be able to avoid being turned down again.

    After reading everything on here I was very surprised when I received DLA without a fight and I believe it was largely down to the fact I wrote a diary for a week as did my OH listing every problem I had in terms of mobility and care before using that information to inform my answers on the DLA application.

    I was also in regular contact with my specialists so they were fully aware of my problems and were aware that I was applying for DLA. This meant they were able to fill out the forms sent to them with a lot of detail.

    I hope this time your application progresses smoothly.
