Grounds to terminate contract with Vodafone?

Hi, I'm 2 months into a 24 month contract with Vodafone. When the phone was 3 weeks old I had to send it back to vf for repair due a persistent echo that occurred whenever I spoke on the phone. They sent it back to me saying it was all fixed after 48 hours but all they had done was update the software, the echo was still there plus I could now no longer access my home wifi and 3G was so slow it took 10 minutes just to open homepage. I sent the phone back for repair on the 12th December, I called on 20th dec for update on status of repair- they said they were working on it and I would have it back by the end of that week. I called again on 28th dec as I hadn't received my phone back, they said actually they can't say how long it will take it fix so they'll just send me a new handset which I should have within a week. I had not received anything by the 6th jan so called again and was told they didn't have my handset in stock and they don't know when they will. I said can I get one from a Vodafone store? No.
Plus the reception is terrible! I asked in store if there was coverage in my area, they showed me a map that said there was but the only place I get reception is pressed against my living room window! My phone (am using old handset) constantly has "emergency calls only" on the screen.
With all this in mind, can I cancel contract with vf without paying for the rest of the contract?
Thanks

Firstly, no networks guarantee reception indoors. Secondly, if you were not happy you should have tried to cancel the contract during the cooling off period (not all companies offer it for in-store purchases though).

Out of interest, was it a new number or an upgrade? I have seen occasions where an old SIM is responsible for echos in calls, and it can certainly be responsible for dodgy signal, silly as this may seem. Ask for a replacement sim in your local store, this might just sort it out.
