Just a quick Q really.
I have had a contract with O2 for a while now and it is due to renew this July.
But i am wandering if my current monthly fee will stay the same if i stay with the contract. i pay £35.74 a month for unlimited Wi - Fi 750MB uk data , 1000mins voice call to all uk land lines , mobile phones. unlimited txt's.
as i would like to keep the contract but just change phones.

Hard to say. If you do nothing it will stay the same, If you phone and ask for a new handset you'll have to take on the conditions of the contract available at the time you renew.
  • hmmm strange one as my brother has contracts with O2 and just gets a new handset at the end of each contract and passes his old phone off to his wife , daughters. i had a search on the web site and found nothing.
and i checked my receipt , paperwork as my phone was bought through carphonewarehouse.
I have never had any problems with them or O2 and happy to go into an other 24 month contract with them.

I did have a quick look on O2's web site and they have cheaper contracts with unlimited text's which is a main point for me as i can easily send £50+ of txts every other week lol. and i have got used to being online on my mobile as well so would like to keep that going.
hmm will look into it more and see what is what nearer the time.

    thanks for the reply gj.
  • When my contract ended with o2 i had the option of going on to a Sim only plan, which gave me the same thing i already had, but for around £20pm cheaper. I'd keep my handset, and o2 said they give £150 cash back.

Go on to your account online and it will tell you on there what you can do when you upgrade.
    SAVINGS: £63.86 // £3,000
