Due to the very high winds and bad weather one of my top roof tiles has fallen off and smash the ones that go across the very top of the roof, luckily it missed my car by about a metre. asking at work if anyone can recommend a roofer and girl suggested i claim it on my insurance, have had insurance for 22 years and never made a claim and am wondering if i would look stupid to ring up and ask. im worried that once the roofer gets on the roof he comes up with lots of problems that need sorted. have got a very worrid little boy who thinks the huracaine is gonna blow our roof off. i need to sort out asap as now worried the wind will get under it all and case even more damage. do you think it is worth ringing insurance to enquire im with payment shield and have home emergency cover with them to. thanks

You could get a quote or quotes first to give you an idea of cost before contacting the insurance company. It will probably be less than your insurance excess.
If it is just a ridge tile that is missing I'd be incline just to get it fixed myself without going through my insurance.
If 'Buy with Confidence' is in your area I would use them to find a roofer.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4 .............................NCFC member No: 00005.........
