Had credit report and

I'm ever so slightly confused...not that it takes much!
It was one of those £2 reports from equifax and to be honest it didn't give the info that I thought it would!
You see I thought that it would record the fact that although payments are up to date several credit card payments (I'm sure) were made late but these don't seem to be the case. All records have been updated up to and including March 2005. Have I missed something or was I more up to date than I thought, LOL!
Also when you read the payment history is the left hand entry the most up to date entry or is ot the right hand side.
Finally (well for now) would it be better for my credit rating if I closed some of my credit card accounts as I have been turned down recently (but not since I joined this site!) for a credit card ? I initially thought that there might be something adverse on my file but it doesn't seem that this is the case.

Something is definitely up.
Had a closer look at it last nightand there's a loan that's still running missing off hubby's report and there's a credit card missing off mine.
Are these £2 reports worth getting or would it be better to get a more expensive one from the other agencies?2014 Target;

You also have to apply for a report from Experian and possibly even CallCredit, although they aren't currently very popular with lenders in relation to the other two. A report from Equifax on its own will NOT show your full credit history. Definately get a report from Experian too, it will more than likely have all the missing items on it as well as other information thats not on the Equifax one. The £2 postal reports should tell you everything you need to know.He huihuinga taangata he pukenga whakaaro – A meeting of people; a wellspring of ideas (Maori proverb)0

Well I applied for the Experian report andmy missing credit card is there but hubby's loan isn't so I'm not sure what is going on with that one!
What does make me smile is that I know for a fact that hubby has missed some payments on his egg card but according to his reports everything is hunky dory - although it does correctly state that he was late with a couple of other payments.
Another thing that made me giggle was, according to Experian, my credit score is 999....and apparently I'm an excellent credit risk ....can any one explain that one please as I also have missed (but am uptodate) with some payments!2014 Target;

No idea, but I wouldn't go querying it if I were you
The missing items may be on CallCredits files, although I was under the impression that they weren't very much used. May have to apply to them for your credit file too.

Hi mountainofdebt
Read your thread about credit reports with great interest - just got my reports from Equifax/Experian too. Seems like the most up to date entries are on the left hand side.
I was surprised too by things that aren't on there, speaking as someone who's had letters from at least 5 Debt Recovery Services in the last year... (Muchmuchmuch better situation now) Late payments have only appeared if they carry on to the next month, ie become missed payments.
How did you go about getting your credit score though? Was this on the standard £2 report or the extra online stuff? Would be really interested to find out!
All the best!It's better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.
