Car Insurance or House Insurance??

Your views would be very much appreciated.

Background is that unfortunately some tiles have blown off my roof and landed on my car, causing circa £1k of damage to car (which is a company car).

Car people say I need to claim off of car insurance thus impacting on my no claims bonus. To me this seems wrong, especially as I will have to make a house insurance claim too.

Does anybody have any experiance or views on this?

Many thanks.

Yes, you have to claim off the car insurance for the car damage. Your home insurance does have 3rd party cover but you cannot sue yourself!

If it's a company car, the company could pursue you as the homeowner but they would have to prove negligence against you which is difficult.
