£15 Amazon voucher with free 30 day lovefilm trial? Legit or not?

I know Amazon and Lovefilm have done these type of things before and there is one that runs out tomorrow night (31st dec) where you recieve a £15 voucher with a 30 day free trial. (As advertised on amazon.co.uk's homepage)

Is this for real? If i cancelled my free trial before 30 days and returned all dvds, would I still recieve the £15 amazon voucher? And do I have to pay anything afterwards?

Answers would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

  • I used this offer recently, you get emailed the voucher a few days after your membership is up and running so you can spend the voucher, have a months worth of DVDs and then close your account! Be prepared for the hard sell when you try and close it though, they will offer you lots of other packages to try and keep you!

Thank you! Is it possible to cancel the trial any other way than ringing up? Is it true that it is an automated service after 9pm? As long as it is possible to cancel, I will sign up to this offer!

I cancelled over the internet and didn't have to speak to anyone - you just have to do it out of office hours

Does anyone know if it is true that you have to add 10 dvds to your rental list (and have one dvd out) to then recieve the £15 voucher? Any info on this offer please!
  • What a fab deal I had already been a member though and it wont even let me rejoin hubby to get the offer :(

    Awesome will try this.
  • I signed up on the 27th december for the £20 voucher promo (added more than 10 titles immediately) first rental arrived yesterday & have just received my amazon voucher via email, havent tried to cancel yet though :)
  • I recently took up their offer of £20 voucher with a 30 day trial. I added a load of titles immediately, they arrived within 2 days, and the amazon voucher arrived only a couple of days after that.

Service was excellent, and I cancelled through the website with a week to go (possibly a bit over-cautious, but wanted to leave enough time to cancel everything).

All fine and no problems since. It's a good service, I just can't justify it with my new 2012 budget!
Back on the MSE wagon after going dark for a while.
