Signed off sick - Sick Note Query

Apologies if this is in the wrong section, didn't know where to put it................

If a GP writes one month on the sick note and not 4 weeks when would the sick note end?
Eg. Date on note 14th, would it end on the 11th the following month, which would be 4 weeks or would it be the 14th the following month?

Sorry if it seems a stupid question but I cant work it out.......

I would think it is 1 calendar month, so it expires on the following 13th.

My Son was issued with a sick note and it ran out in 12 weeks. Hope this helps.
