The WCA is assessed against the descriptors which can be found in the following document. http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/m-06-11.pdf
The WCA handbook is http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/wca-handbook.pdf
Key thing is that ESA has two groups (and hence two sets of descriptors in the links.. for WRAG and for Support Gp)... you'll be placed into one of them if you 'pass' the WCA. For the DWP to determine the outcome of the WCA, evidence could include you having to complete an ESA50 form, could include a face to face medical, and could include other sources of medical evidence including those which you might supply into the process yourself."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0 -
Give as much supporting evidence as you think fit, with the ESA50. That way ATOS and the DWP will have sufficient information to make a decision, and hopefully avoid an appeal. Good luck, I have been through the IB/ESA migration this year. I sent a lot of supporting evidence, did not have to go for the WCA (fortunately because you have to go down 15 steps to get to the ATOS building) and was put in the support group!]Mortgage 1.
