Phishing on ebay?

I'm sure I'm not imagining things but... I was just doing an ebay search for random Japanese movie posters when I noticed the bit where you can change your options to worldwide had gone. I didn't think much of it but then I tried to search for something else and no results came back. The address of the site I was on had changed to sandbox.com and it asked me to sign in again. I immediately went back to ebay.co.uk and searched again and everything was coming up as normal again. Was this a dodgy hack kinda thing? Like phishing, I think it's called...? I didn't enter my details but I don't understand how it changed when I didn't click on anything. Anyone else had this problem?
