I had to this through NTL at the charge of £1.75 per month, much cheaper than the calls. After a couple of months l will remove it but just not tell the kids0

If you have a BT line, one of BT's 'Calling Features' (£1.75/month) is the ability to bar and un-bar certain types of calls.
Although the one you want is switch-on-able - with *342# and switch-off-able with #342PIN# - it's not as specific as you would like (the option to bar mobiles also bars national and international calls).Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
I've just come across a neat little device - the Phone Guard - which appears to be exactly what you need!

Anyway, for £4.30, it's got to be worth a try, surely?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Heinz wrote:I think that just means it won't prevent internet access if you have ADSL broadband, not that the telephone calls barring capability won't work if you have. Obviously any phone plugged in would have to have a broadband filter connected as usual.

I'll buy one off eBay anyway for the price and try it out. If my ADSL stops working with it, I'll put it back up on eBay.0
