About to start the PPI/ Credit Card Journey of reclaiming funds

Good afternoon....

I am new to all this and after some time I have decided I am going to look into my accounts to see if I have any grounds to apply for charges back.

I do not think I had PPI on anything but I am going to look into everything. Just in case!

After 87k yes....87k of debt... I have £3000 left with Un- welcome finance. I thought I had paid it all off but clearly not.....

So my credit cards I am going to try and get charges back on are:

Llyods TSB highest balance £4.5k
Barclaycard highest balance 4.4k
RBS Mint higest balance 1.7k
MBNA £1.5k

I will post my journey....I have sent the first template to Barclaycard and MBNA today! So here goes.....wish me luck!

I am ever hopeful that it will work. I could do with some pennies!

I think I have nothing to loose; if it works it works if it doesn't it doesn't! Let me know how you get on Samantha

    Hi Sam

I think its their way of saying we will respond in our time and not yours!!!! i did get the template from this site so I dont see that Martin would create a template with the 40days by law if it wasnt correct!!!

I know 35 days and counting lol xx

Can I ask a very silly question I have some cards which have been closed a number of years can you get a break down of the costs before proceeding to find out if you can claim. I know companies will offer to do it but I'm a complete novice and would rather keep all the monies then paying it out to someone else!

    Hi Camuk81

I closed my account with vanquis visa a number of years ago and used the template on here regarding ppi claim and charges, so yes in answer to your question, you will need the template that asks for all the charges applied to your account.

    Good luck

  • Hi, I am under going PPI claims through 'Claims Advisory Group' and want to check this is not a dogy company. I have tried looking online for reviews etc but thought this site might help me decide. Just received a letter indicating I am entitled to a refund a good amount too. They mention in their letter that this can be transferred into their account or my own. On the form my account details are listed. I would ask my bank for advise but of course I think they maybe bias as this is the bank where I got my loan with PPI payments in the first place. To sign or not to sign, help?

    Kind regards,

    Ros.
