Ongoing Blackhorse PPI claim

Hi guys

quick update & question

Got a claim going on with BH - they rejected 2 seperate PPI claims within the last month on 2 seperate loans. Both rejection letters were identical in content stating that they had carried out a full & thorough investigation to my claim and found no case to answer.

Thing is my 1st ''claim'' did not have PPI on the agreement so I wrote back to them to ask them to reconsider their decision on the 2nd claim as there investigation was flawed as they never picked up on this fact.

I gave Blackhorse 14 days to respond and this has now expired - what is my next step??

I sent my letter recorded delivery and have tracked the letter via PO website that says my letter was delivered to BH the day after I posted it so I know the letter reached them.

Thanks in advance for advice

regards

Steve

You need to get back to them and tell them you disagree with the refusal and the reasons they have given, arm yourself with reasons for mis sell.

Let them know if they dont reconsider you will take this to FOS,as they cannot use the "you had 14 days to cancel" as a reason for refusing your claims, you dont believe your claims were looked at and ask them to reconsider.

Get back in touch and ask them if they have recieved your letter as you need a reply to this to send to FOS as you disagree with the reasons they gave you for refusal.

Hi there don't loose heart we have been through the same thing. We wrote back to them informing them we did not agree and detailed why, we gave them 14 days but recieved no reply. We forwarded our complaint with the fos then 7 months later out of the blue we recieved a letter from blackhorse saying they had reviewed our complaint and were going to cough up! I suspect they had only just looked into it from my original complaint knowing the fos are snowed under they know they have got 12 months to deal with the complaints before the fos get chance to look into it. Hope this helps:)

Don't suppose anyone knows how long it takes blackhorse to actually payout they have advised up to 28 days is this accurate? Advice / others experience appreciated.
  • Blackhorse in our experience rejects most claims now. You will have to forward the complaint to FOS. Long winded i know but no other choice.
Not all CMC`s are the same....:A
