My sister wants to get Sky Multi Room for the bedroom, was on the sky website and it says its free set up and £10.25 per month for Shy + HD box,yet she rang earlier and was told there would be an extra £4 charge a month cause she was not taking Sky+ HD subscription, she never rings for deals etc and has the movies and sports package etc plus broadband and phone with Sky,shes not very good with haggling with Sky and im not much better tbh, anybody know any promo codes etc she could enter and place the order online to get it at the £10.25 a month without paying the £4 something extra on top...........Thanks

I have multi room, I wouldnt bother with the hd + for a multi room, thats what the main one is forDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Don't know what this £4 charge is all about, I've never come across it before. The main benefit to taking HD is it almost certainly will reduce the price of the box.
For example, from memory, a Sky+HD box with a MR sub usually comes in at c. £150-200. Taken with the HD mix that will come down significantly. HD is contracted for a year, so a saving of £100 on a box will be negated by a year's worth of HD.0 -
Think the sales agent is wrong as on the website it states;Your HD Pack now covers your whole home so all you need is a Sky Multiroom subscription in each extra room with an HD ready Sky box and TV. Better yet - if you've been paying for more than one HD Pack, you now only have to pay for one and we'll change your bills automatically to save you money.
so looking at the table below it's just the existing £10.25 a month plus the £10.25 multi-room fee.

Besides, how many people have a HD TV in the bedroom?...0 -

So one off £60 installation charge and £10.25 a month will get my nephew watching all the channels they have on the downstairs tv?
Thanks Spike
Downstairs box is a Sky + box not HD0 -
Remember that both boxes must be permanently connected to the phone line to do the callbacks..No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Yes,if you have a HD tv downstairs, you could swap the boxes over so you can get the free HD channels downstairs, just make sure you watch the programmes you have stored tho.AND,very importantly,Make sure you set the pin number on his box to block not just B/O movies & 18+ programmes but also the phone as well so he can't run up the phone bill buying games ect..Remember that both boxes must be permanently connected to the phone line to do the callbacks..
Which the installer should run when he fits second box as it's part of his job SOP's.0 -

Very many, I would imagine. We certainly do and the HD picture is a much-appreciated improvement over SD.
Why would anyone not opt for HD on a bedroom television if they can receive Freeview HD ?Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance

A good 70-80% of houses I've worked in only have a portable type tv in the bedroom & most of those installs have been in childrens bedrooms.0
