Possible to reclaim bank charges once debt is passed on to a collection agency?

Sorry if this has been answered but I can't for the life of me find a similar thread on the topic. Is it possible to put a claim in with the bank once the debt has been passed onto a debt collection agency? Last year I made a claim then never heard from them but they may well of replied after I'd moved house. I'd forgotten all about it until recently after receiving a letter from a debt collection agency. Can I put in another claim or is out of their hands now?
Many thanks in advance

You are free to complain to the bank if you wish.Last year I made a claim then never heard from them but they may well of replied after I'd moved house.
You would probably have got the standard rejection seeing the banks won the court case. That is unless your complaint was about incorrect application of charges or you could show you were currently in a pattern of continuous charges and currently in financial hardship.
What is it that you want to complain about with regards to the charges and what is it about your situation that you feel you can persuade them to make a refund to you?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thank you for your reply.
With regards to the charges they mounted to a phenomenal amount as I was unemployed at the time and had to open a post office account due to the bank taking my JSA. My mental health wasn't doing particularly well either (and there is now a note of this on my credit report). I had an overdraft of £100 on two separate accounts and both incurred charge after charge. I'm now in the process of a DRO because my income barely covers my outgoings and this isn't likely to change anytime soon. I was wondering if anyone had actually made a claim to recover their bank charges after the debt was passed on...Damsel In Distress0
