Hi I've been reading the post on losing a partner ,my sister went through this 2 years ago in may ,she was left with 2 kids aged 7 and 11 and no will ,finances were straight forward to sort out ,took about 6 months.
however things are not straight forward for us ,my husband is property rich and cash poor ,and also has a son from a previous relationship whom he wants to put his share into a fund of some sort and leave our two kids share to me to pass on.
our problem is the cost and where the best place to go is ,as the last time we done a will it was done wrong and did not contain what he wanted we also have inheritence tax issues
where is the best place to go ?
thank you in advance

I used to work in a solicitors and they are really clued up (as long as you go to a reputable firm) about inheritance tax and will making - me and Hubby had ours done when i worked there but i also need a codicil added as we are now married and we had the wills done when we first bought a home together - basically if i go first - everything goes to me and vice versa, if something happens to both of us it's gets shared equally between our kids (both sets out of previous marriages).Focusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0

i second dotty about going to a solicitor.. they dont always charge a lot... where i used to work we charged £90 for 2 mirror wills so ask them for a quote first u will be surprised how little it can cost
