Christmas sweets & chocolates

Where is a good place to get these cheaply?

I want to make up some party bags for the kids who come to our Xmas drinks party - there will be rather a lot of them so need good value packs of ready wrapped things that can be split up; ideally in christmassy wrappings!
I'm going to put them in cello bags with ribbon.

I've got chocolate coins & some mini santas & snowmen from Wilkinsons - any other ideas? Was looking for lollies too.

  • Our 99p shop had xmas tree shaped lollies so any of those types of shops will probably have some if you're lucky. I have found the fruit rock types in various newsagents over the years, it's just a matter of taking the time to pop in and out, I always wrap presents with a lolly stuck on next to the ribbon, and xmas I add a couple of coins too.

If you have a poundworld they have tubes of refesher sweets and drumstick lollies. Asda have them for a pound too, but they have 30g more in the poundworld ones.

Asda choc eclairs have a lot in the bags and are approx 31p each but are in gold wrappers. They also sell strawberry canes for £2 for a bag or 2 bags for £3.

There is wee chocolate bars made by cadburys which has little elves on the wrapper which sell for £0.25 each or you can buy 3 for £0.50 from co-op or scotmid. They are nice = chocoate wth a bit of popping candy through the chocolate.
