My OH forgot and left the mobile in a jacket and put it in the wash. I saw the light going round and round so drained the washing machine and took it out. I am currently trying to dry it . I have found out that the Sim is Ok the memory card is ok and the battery is ok.
The main screen was very misted up but seems to be drying out.
Can anyone tell me is there any hope of this ever working again or anything I could do to help the situation ?
Its a Sony Erricson 750i it was in a learther case so that protected it a little.

Try taking apart as much as possible and leave in airing cupboard. Will need a long time to completely dry the electronics."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Thanks the screen does seem to be clearing off so the mobi does seem to be drying out but only time will tell if it will work again. The sticker on the battery is Red and mine (same model phone) is white so I guess the water trigger changed its colour."The time is always right to do what is right"0

My OH has washed 3 phones so far and all have survived thanks to my quick action, it really is just a waiting game until it's totally dried out.
My son dropped his in the bath (must take after his mother) and it was dead for 2 months before it fired up again.0 -
I've dropped mine down the loo once and left it in a carrier bag with a leaking flask once  It's survived both.
Take it apart as much as you possibly can, lay it on a dry towel and leave it for several days. During this time don't try it, don't just 'see' if it's working, just leave it alone.
As it's had a real good dunk I'd leave it at least 4 days and then just tap the charger area gently on your hand to see if any drips come out, if so leave it a couple more days, if not try it.
If it comes on with faltering power or flashing screen you should quickly take the battery out and give it a few more days.Just run, run and keep on running!0 -
Just dont put it on the tumble dryer to dry it out

A mater of mine splint some liquid on his keyboard and stuck it in the dryer dumb **** all the keys stayed on but the keyboard was now arched to the shape of the drum.
Just remove the battery and sim and let the phone dry slowly, remove as much excess water as possible before sitting it down to dry for a few days or a week is possibly better.0 -
Number one thing is to let it dry naturally, do NOT try to dry it using anything.0

For all those interested I have left it to dry above the radiator for 3 days. Today turned it on and so far it seem to be fully functional..yipee
