Stupid idea that, Swapping a bulb or a flat battery means it needs the expensive computer at the wallet emptying
    headquarters.

    Not to Audi it isn't.

Thats one of the risks everyone takes when buying a flashy badged car. Everyone knows they're expensive to maintain so why complain?

These bulbs never blow it is more likely either the coil pack that feeds it or another electrical fault ie fuse or something These bulbs are expensive yes but they never blow

They might not "blow" but they do have a lifespan and do fail.

Mine got over 10 years & 200k miles and didn’t blow even then.

It developed a bad contact at the bulb connector which overheated and melted the bulb base & connector (which only comes as part of the igniter)
  • No? - Tell that to my friend who was given a producer and 7 days to get hers fixed at a garage with a receipt to prove it OR 3 points and a £60 fine.

Your friend is talking rubbish. A VDRS is 14 days and if you don't comply it's a summons you get not a ticket. If a ticket is issued then it's £30 and no points.
