Cancelling sales by mutual consent

I have a couple of mutual consent cases where the buyer hasn't responded (despite them asking me to cancel). Both cases are 8 days old but there still isn't an option in the resolution centre to close the cases. Does anyone know why this might be?

Thank you

Hmm, I thought it was 10 days before the case closed in your favour but was corrected recently by someone who said it was only 7. I might have to go and have a trawl through the help pages.

    It should be 7 days.

If you and the buyer agree not to complete a sale, you can cancel the transaction and receive a credit on your final value fee.

    Here's how it works:

    1. You open a case to cancel the transaction.
    2. The buyer has up to 7 days to respond. If the buyer agrees to the cancellation, the case is automatically closed.

If you haven't heard back after 7 days, you can close the case in the Resolution centre (you must select the case you want to close).

The final value fee credit will appear in your seller's account within 7-10 business days of closing the case.

Thank you for the reply. I have been through the process before so I am aware how it works. The problem I have is that even though both cases were opened on the 13th and the buyers haven't responded to either, neither case is currently eligible for me to close. After 7 full days usually a link appears on the relevant case to close it, but in this instance it hasn't.

Sorry, it was really in answer to soolin, I should have quoted her post.
    It's probably another ebay glitch.

No need to apologise hermum. The post was very helpful as it confirmed what I had found anyway. I hate eBay glitches. Suppose I'll leave it a day and see what happens

It may be worth going onto live help, if you get someone with common sense, they may close it in your favour straight away.
