Bought two pairs of a left foot

  • There may not be a great deal of help volunteered - after all, perhaps it isn't unheard of for someone to steal two boots (left always on display) and then try and get the others?

Taking them back with the receipt may be the only way to do it.

because this is true alot of the time, but not all of the time and normally when you say and keep repeated to take them back the OPs give so many excuses as to whay they cant or cant be bothgered to take them back

Presumably if people are able to take them back with no problem, they do so. You're therefore always going to get more posters who have difficulty getting things back to the store posting questions about what they can do.

not true you will get some posters that post hoping others can tell them how they can get away without having to return to the store with the goods., i read one the other day they lived 5 miles from the store and wanted a way how to not return to the store as they would have to get another bus as they dont drive, but they visit this centre twice every week

One poster does not equal everybody.

    My point still stands.

    Hello,

I purchased a pait of boots from Dune in a shopping centre far from my home address. When I arrived home, I noticed that the lady had put two left feet in the box. I had tried on a right foot and left foot however from when the sales assistant took them off me and took them to the till, she had put two wrong pairs in.

What are my options here? I can't get to the same shopping centre and do not drive. Is it my right to ask them to deliver the correct pair of boots?

    :o Thank you :o
ss6633 please come back and let us all know how you how you got on with the boots situation.ie. did you return them or get them replaced?:)

you can read through the whole of MSE and you will see many posts the same.

its the same as "im posting for a friend" etc. after a while you know it is them and their is no friend.

Tex this poster is trying to avoid going back to the shop with the boots and has said that they CANT get back to it so its blatently obvious that they are avoiding going back.Does it really matter why they cant get back.
What point are you trying to make exactly or what are you really trying to say or even assume?

Here is an example of me not being able to get back to the store under similar circumstances.
I have agoraphobia and some days i am mentally strong enough to go to a particular shop including doctors and dentist and some days i am not.It takes a lot of psyching myself up to go.If however i find something wrong when i get home it throws me back.I would find it extremely difficult to go back so soon to correct the mistake and may never do so as it takes a lot of mental preparation to go in the first place.
As i said in an earlier post people have many reasons for not returning to the store.
If,i were the op i would ring the store and explain why i cant go back and request that they allow me to return one or both boots and to forward me a replacement as it was their fault in the first place.Otherwise i would return them and request my money back as 2 left boots are of no use to anyone.
