furniture courier?

I am getting ready to list a desk and my old in need of repair tumble dryer on ebay, figure its worth a try before i try freecycle, i would like to be able to offer a courier within the uk but i am havign trouble finding one that takes furniture/doesnt need to know the weight. do any exist or will i be better taking my chances on getting a local buyer?
