I was discharged BR in 2003 and I've lived under a cloud ever since.
This week, with my heart in my mouth, I took the bull by the horns and applied for my Statutory Credit Report from Experian. I thought it was going to be an awful read and would need a box of tissues to hand whilst going through the details. Also...
A couple of years ago, I applied for a credit card so that I could rebuild my credit status. Unfortunately, I lost my job (I was a contractor) and I started using the card. Big mistake! I defaulted on the payments.
I actually paid off the full amount this year. This is showing up on my SCR... but!
I think I can allow myself to feel more optimistic about the future than I have done for the past 8 years!
I don't think I have such an adverse credit report that I would be turned down for a job with a credit check agency.
**Huge mental sigh of relief**

Oh, I meant to ask: does anyone know what is "Status History 8"?
And because I'm doing mine I know this answer!!
"Status History 8"-
Your overdraft balance has been greater than your overdraft limit for more than three months and you have not agreed new repayments to bring the account in order.
The lender has decided that you have broken the terms of your agreement and has told you that your account is now in ‘default’.
The lender has closed your account.
Best wishes
