Arghhh! Nightmare wkend!!

Hi All,

Just wanted to vent my frustration after a nitemare weekend!!

Nothing major happened apart from kettle blew up friday night, so thought that wasnt too bad as can get one for about a tenner (and as you can see from my previous posts i am brassic!)

anyway... sat morning the damn oil filled radiator thing that we heat the utility with blew and would not work either so ok trotted down to argos and bought a radiator and a kettle ( both in the sales. for £27! bargain!)

Then went to heat babs bottles in the microwave tonight and the flippin thing blew smoke at me and then caught alight!!

So i have had a total (electrical!) nightmare weekend!!!

feel better now anyway! Hee Hee x x

Just a thought, but could you be having some kind of power surges? I'm not at all electrically skilled, but this does sound like a bit of a coincidence. That said, my mum always swore things came in 3's, so that sounds like your lot all done and dusted in one weekend. Better than dreading the week ahead.

    sending you a hug!

we had a major leak from a bathroom down into the linen coupboard below on thursday night, then a similar incident with a microwave on friday night (although no flames, just glowing sparking bits inside!).

waiting for a plumber to come fix the leak, but at least it's rented so i don't have to pay out huge fees.......

must be something in the air!

(here's hoping the third thing that's bound to come isn't too bad!)

I was thinking same thing - if anything else happens to your electrics (keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't :D) then I would definitely get it checked out - YOU and your nearest and dearest are too precious to risk on dodgy wiring...;)

I am a firm believer that things come in 3s and it does sound as if yours all came at once./ I would get your electrics checked out though.

I once organised a conference at work and on the morning of the conference I left my house with water dripping through my bedroom ceiling (an ongoing problem with the header tank in the attic solved by switching the heating off - and now fortunately fixed!), my boss left her bath running and flooded the flat below and another colleague flooded his bathroom - there was definitely something in the air that week.

Reading the ipod quote, I remember when I washed my hubby's ray bans in the washing machine and he was well !!!!ed off with me as the lenses got all scratched!
