  • when you look at it like that, that makes a lot of sense, lucysdeals
  • Use a different email account when you register and you have no problems.
  • Purchased this & received my voucher email when the deal ended only when I go to sign up on Lovefilm, it doesnt recognise my code.

On my email pdf from Groupon it gives me a security code (nos & letters ) and a voucher code 2 digits/4digits.

I contacted Groupon & heard nothing.

I contacted Lovefilm who said I should have a code with GRPN then nos but I dont see that anywhere. They have said to get back to them if no luck but haven't as yet.

Just wondered if anyone here can help as to where I might find (if I am just missing it) the code and how to apply it.
If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:

Voucher code is in the covering email that they sent to you? Also in the PDF under the TV picture of Lovefilm next to the Groupon Logo?

Generally, you can get repeat offers for 'First Time Users Only' if you supply a different email and/or card details. Even if it's a free trial, you normally have to enter card details, so that they can take a first payment, should you forget to cancel in time.
They don't always go on the name/address because you could realistically be a different M Smith to the previous M Smith.

As far as LoveFilm goes, I'd be very wary of them. I've been reading of a lot of complaints of incorrect & over charging (a la AOL), people being charged for 'lost' disks that were sent in the same envelope as others that had been received, not to mention that fact that they seem to use offshore Customer Service facilities (and that alway means trouble, regardless of where it is). Most recently, they've been losing peoples card details; whether that means simple incompetancy or, more seriously, that they've been hacked (like Sony were) I don't know. Add to that the fact that they've been investigated by the ASA (Advertising Standards) for throttling (sending discs out very tardily, to restrict how many films an 'Unlimited' customer can have). They're also currently in dispute with Universal, so you can't hire their more recent titles either.
BBC program Watchdog have received getting on for 100 complaints, about both mis-selling and charging irregularies. Earlier in the year, the ASA banned one of their TV adverts for, once again, mis-selling the service with regard to streaming. The number listed on Watchdog, if you need to complain about mis-selling etc is 0800 091 2121.

Several friends of mine have switched to Blockbuster, for a similar price and report no problems so far. You can't stream, but then again, the quality isn't up to much anyway.

Verify by Googling for the Watchdog issue or read the 'Comments' at http://www.choosedvdrental.co.uk/dvd-rental-guide/articles/is-love-film-any-good.html
