Discharge Letter

Discharge Date Dec 2010
After going bankrupt I subsequently lost the house and as such had to move, this was prior to my discharge date, and like an idiot I didnt update my Bankruptcy adviser.
I have recently been looking into trying to clean up my ratings and have read that I really could do with my discharge letter, I havn't got this letter as I assume it went to my old address.
So my question is ... can I get a copy of this if I speak to the Bankruptcy Advisor (cannot call as it is a Sunday!)

FD

Given those dates you would have received automatic discharge after 1 year. That means you wouldn't have been sent a letter. That only happens when you receive early discharge prior to the one year being up.
If you want confirmation of the discharge then you can ask your OR/trustee. Many will happily oblige with a letter.
The alternative is getting a formal certificate of discharge from the court. But unless you are on a low income or receive certain benefits, the court charges £60-70 for that.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
