Once again a buyer hasn't paid or been in touch at all following an auction which ended on the 5th. Invoice was sent; gentle reminder was sent.

Am I right in thinking that, once a dispute is opened I will be unable to leave feedback?

If I DO open a dispute do I need the buyer to confirm (to ebay) that she doesn't wish to proceed?

Irritatingly she has had feedback as a buyer since the date so I KNOW she's been 'on' the ebay site!

Do ANY sellers ever neg NPBs?

If it closes without a response then neither of you can leave feedback if you have done a full NPB

If I DO open a dispute do I need the buyer to confirm (to ebay) that she doesn't wish to proceed?

Only if you do a mutual, an NPB doesn't need buyer to confirm

Do ANY sellers ever neg NPBs

why would any seller leave a positive for a non payer?

sorry I meant as opposed to not leaving any feedback at all!

And, while I'm moaning why do some people mark feedback which is CLEARLY negative as postive?

eg this buyer has a 'never paid for the item, no communication' but it was positive?

So I could neg her for non payment and no comms, open an NPB and she couldn't then neg me? (not that I've done anything wrong!)?

Because sellers can only leave a positive

The NPB will leave a hit on their user id for future purchases, though from some of my NPB I think they have several usernames created from years ago.

You dont "know" anything. It could be automatic feedback for one.
Just open a dispute for your fees returning and dont worry about feedback as you cant leave negative feedback anyway. Dont leave any at all.

Previous sellers who have left a negative comment with a positive mark, have actually done the buyer a favour because she now has grounds to get them removed.
