I'm beyond confused with this

evening, I'm hoping someone can help me out as I am unsure what to do.

I bought an item and paid same day, item didn't arrive, seller refused to refund so I opened an ebay case and won. I have my refund. However on the same day as I had the refund, the seller sent me an update on my transaction and said I had bought another one and had to pay for it. I refused (as I genuinely didn't buy another and can't see it on my ebay account). They have since sent me a cancellation for the original item but are claiming it's for the new item. What should I do? accept the cancellation? Looking at ebay, if I ignor it then they get their fees and if I refuse to cancel I have to pay again - surely this isn't right? is it?

thanks in advance for any help - I don't want the item now (bought it elsewhere) and I certainly don't want it from them.

No you shouldn't accept the cancellation, and just ignore any further messages, and remind them you aren't that thick!!!

as the buyer you have the power, as demonstrated by the diagram below

  • When a seller refunds, the transaction goes back into the awaiting payment tab......they are fooling you. Dont ignore it though as they will get their fees back, just decline it, you don't pay again.
  • You don't have to pay again. If you accept the cancellation the sale will be finished with.

dont accept the cancellation as the seller is at fault for not sending you the goods
