Best time to buy Samsung UE46D8000

Hi,

I’m planning to get the Samsung UE46D8000 which is quite expensive. I’ve been tracking offers on the TV for sometime and am wondering if this might be the right time to purchase one, given the Samsung 150 pound cash back offer on the TV. I’m planning to get John Lewis to price match Richer sounds on the TV. Please do let me know if you think there’s a better deal out there or if the price will come down further in the New Year. I’m new to the UK and am not sure about the best time to make expensive purchases.

It will come down eventually as it gets towards Easter next year and it becomes an older model. But the cashback offer is pretty good for now - the price of the D8000 hasn't really moved all that much for a few months

I have been doing the rounds on this set as well,£1449 at Direct TV,s they have shops in North Nottingham and Huddersfield and on line.
I have also been to Richer Sounds in Nottm and they claim to undercut any other supplier,with John Lewis you get the 5 year warranty which comes in useful ,but i get extended warranty with my credit card for two extra years.
Good hunting,i have decided to wait a few months before purchasing because i think they will be reduced shortly.I got the impression from both retailers they have lots of stock,people are not spending that amount on tvs at the moment
